My Wardrobe: Stripes

Everyday I'm overwhelmed by the choice in my wardrobe when I pick out my outfit for work. I just have too much stuff and I end up wearing the same outfit over and over because I can't be bothered to try and think of a new combo. I'm pretty sure I'm not the only girl who feels this way!

So I decided to narrow my choices down by choosing one basic to work my outfits around for the week. For example: stripes, polka dots, trio of colours (e.g. red/black/white, navy/white/red etc), pastels, floral prints etc.

I'm a bit of a hoarder when it comes to clothes and rarely throw anything out until it's all worn out so some of the items in my outfits are quite old so I most likely won't remember where I bought certain items from and their respective price but I'll try. Items that can still be purchased I will list and share the links.

This week I'm starting off with the theme of: Stripes
The colour palette will be black, white and red.

These are the four stripey items I pulled out: (I know the skirt is gingham but I ran out of stripes!)

 Striped Vest

This outfit is great for summer and in the winter just layer with a cardigan to keep warm.

Vest: Easy to find anywhere
Peter Pan Collar: New Look - £4.99 - A statement necklace would also work with this outfit.
Black Skater Skirt: Miss Selfridge - £14  - total bargain as this skirt is so versatile and can be styled with anything from casual to formal
Red Skinny Belt - Red works really well with monochrome style

Long Sleeved Striped Top

Top: Primark - ~£4
Dress: Dorothy Perkins
Bow: Ebay

 Gingham Skirt

Shirt: Next
Skirt: Boohoo.com
Necklace: Boutique in HK
Belt: New Look - £6

Striped Shirt

Shirt: Criminal Damage
Black Skater Skirt: Miss Selfridge - £14  - same as above
Belt: New Look - £6 - same as above

Shoes wise: you decide! I wore my black boots because it's still pretty cold out or my thick black tights and black court shoes.

How do you decide what to wear each day?

I've seriously been saying for years that I don't wear outfits but uniforms!

I'm always in stripes too! To me, they feel like a no-brainer. Not as dull as a plain coloured top but not as fussy as say something with lace or pattern.
