The Power of Makeup

I was addicted to this show (search '鑽石夜總會' on youtube - literally Diamond Night Club Show) where young girls appear on the programme showing their amazing makeup skills. They start off with no makeup often wearing pajamas and then 'transform'. It's amazing what circle lens, lashes and makeup can do to a girl. The phrase 'There are no ugly women in the world, just lazy ones'* rings a bell. This is why I love makeup - it can be so fun to dress up! At the end of the day it all comes off anyway.

It is addictive TV! Most of the videos are in Mandarin though but you might get a few with English subs. But most of the time you don't really need to know what they're saying. Have you watched this programme before?

I thought it'd be fun to do my own version:

To really see a difference circle lens and lashes are must. The ones I used are:

• Barbie King Gray circle lens
• ELF Dramatic False Lashes

My 'transformation' isn't as dramatic as the lady above - either my make-up skills are lacking or my eyes are so small nothing can help them...but I think it's both! My face looks strange because my fringe is missing and also I only applied makeup to one half of my face (including foundation, blush, bronzer and lipstick) so it looks out of proportion.

*Edit: Not saying that women who don't wear make-up are ugly. It's just a saying. You also don't need makeup to be pretty! I think all women have the potential to look like supermodels and supermodels can also be normal without any makeup on.
