The Loreal Paris Super Liner GelMatic in Ultra Black is a gel liner in automatic pen form, meaning it's convenient as you don't need a brush to dip into a pot and then having to clean the brush everyday before you can use it again. That is the main reason why I stopped using gel liner. I'm too lazy!
The pencil is an automatic pen hence the name GelMatic so there is no need for sharpening. Like these type of pencils, once you've used past the initial tip it's not easy to sharpen it thus if you're looking to create a thin line this is probably not for you. Ladies looking for a soft, smudged look, say Hello!

I was really excited by this concept and while it's not bad, I think there is definitely room for improvement in terms of lasting power. I wore this for a whole day and I kept having to check throughout the day to make sure it didn't smudge. I had to touch up often as well to keep a solid dark line, but I prefer wearing liquid liner so I'm always after the intense dark look.
Honestly, I don't think this is any different to other pencil eyeliners out there and I definitely don't think it's on par to gel liners. The intensity of the black and lasting power is no where near as good as the MAC gel liner in Blacktrack. But for a pencil liner, I really like it!
Some close-ups of my eye. Sorry for the staring looks but it was late and I was tired.
The pencil is smooth and glides easily to create a nice defined line which can be smudged out.
The squeezing your eye test result.
Finished look complete by filling in the waterline.
This is only £5.99 which is why I love the Loreal Super Liner range so much as they're so affordable. I always have a black pencil liner in my bag and at the moment I'm using the MAC Technakohl which is around £13. I've almost finished that one and will be replacing it with the Loreal Superliner GelMatic!
*Disclaimer: Products were sent to me from Loreal Paris to take part in their Super Liner Challenge. I was not specifically asked for review nor am I paid to review these. I'm a bit fan of the Super Liners and wanted to share my results.
